QardioArm is a blood pressure monitor that can help you track your heart health. It works by sending wireless signals to a device you wear on your arm, which then sends data about your heart rate, blood pressure, and activity to the app on your phone.

The QardioArm can be used with most smartphones and tablets so that you don’t have to carry around a separate device while running errands or working out at the gym.

The app also has tools that allow you to share your data with your doctor, friends, and family members who want to check in on your progress over time.

What Is QardioArm?

QardioArm is a device that measures your blood pressure at home from your upper arm. The blood pressure cuff wraps around a rectangular brick and is made of black nylon cloth. The QardioArm’s electronics are entirely housed in the brick, and the device uses Bluetooth to link to your Android or iOS mobile.

The brick also houses 4 AAA batteries that slide into one side of the gadget with a removable cover. The attached blood pressure cuff has hooks and loop fasteners in various locations, making it adjustable to fit any arm size. However, it might be hard to apply the device if you are home alone.

The cuff activates a magnetic switch in the plastic box, which turns on the device when it is unrolled.

Despite the sleek nature of the device, it’s easy to miss the release point for accessing the battery compartment.

How Does QardioArm Work?

You will need a smartphone or tablet to use the QardioArm blood pressure monitor. You will then download the Qardio App, which is available for iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. Once started, the app immediately pairs using Bluetooth. Register to enable synchronization and secure recording storage.

Once you have a QardioArm account, you unroll the arm cuff, slip it over your arm, and then secure it by pulling the straps together. The cuff will automatically inflate, and the Qardio app will show the measurements.

What Does QardioArm Measure?

QardioArm takes systolic and diastolic blood pressure measurements and heart rate. It also can detect an irregular heartbeat. The app will tell you what’s happening with your blood pressure and heart rate at any point in time so that you can take care of your heart as soon as possible. The blood pressure is shown on the app, along with the pulse.

An irregular heartbeat warning is displayed if the device detects an irregular pulse.

QardioArm monitors your measurements over time using graphs, trends, and statistics and visualizes your measurements with the WHO scale. This makes it possible for you to get a quick comparison of what your blood pressure is to where it should be.

Beyond just the numbers, the Qardio app provides you with a view of your heart health by considering other health parameters like your weight, body fat, and muscle composition.

Pros of QardioArm

The QardioArm BP monitor has some benefits that help keep your blood pressure under control. The app helps you maintain and monitor your blood pressure and identify changes in your heart health.

Here are the 3 main benefits:

#1 Has an app

QardioArm has an app that makes it easy for you to monitor your health data and stay on top of what’s going on with your body at all times. The app helps you track progress and view your data in real time.

You can also share your progress with others. The app also provides helpful reminders on when to measure blood pressure.

#2 User-friendly

QardioArm’s user-friendly interface allows for a quick and easy setup, making it a good fit for those new to the world of blood pressure monitoring.

#3 Quite accurate

Every time you use QardioArm, the device takes 3 measurements in a row, and the software takes the average of those values to produce reliable data. The company also claims that the QardioArm smart blood pressure monitor is clinically verified to take systolic and diastolic blood pressure measurements and heart rate accurately.

Users also noticed that this blood pressure monitor is as accurate as usual BP monitors, which is a big plus as the QardioArm device is lightweight and travel-friendly.

Cons of QardioArm

QardioArm can be a great blood pressure monitor, but it’s not without drawbacks. Here are the main cons:

#1 Powered by batteries

QardioArm is powered by AAA batteries, which means you’ll need to keep a spare battery at all times. If no power source is available, you must wait for some time before getting help from it.

#2 Hard to apply with one hand

QardioArm is a little bit bulky. It’s not as easy to put on your arm as some other blood pressure monitors. This can be inconvenient, especially if you’re holding other items while wearing the device.

Is the QardioArm BPM Accurate?

Although the company claims that the QardioArm smart blood pressure monitor is clinically validated to detect systolic and diastolic measurements and heart rate, the device’s accuracy varies depending on how you operate it and how it is configured.

If the cuff is too large or too small for your arm, you can get inaccurate readings, and if the batteries are running low, the readings may not be accurate as well. However, QardioArm is believed to be a very accurate blood pressure monitor.

How Does the Qardio App Work?

The app synchronizes results instantly with Samsung Health, Apple Health, or Google Fit for simple recording and sharing with your doctor.

Results are also shown in relation to a World Health Organization chart that shows whether your blood pressure is normal, high, or hypertensive.

To assist you in checking your blood pressure consistently, the app sends you reminders. Additionally, you’ll get advice on how to control your heart rate and HBP.

However, compared to other alternative BP monitors, QardioArm doesn’t send medication reminders or provide personalized recipes, meals, and exercise plans.

Medication reminders ensure you never forget to take your prescriptions, while personalized meals and exercise plans help you eat heart-healthy foods and monitor your daily activities according to your data.

You can share data within the app or even email it to your doctor.

How Much Does QardioArm Cost?

QardioArm costs $99. You can purchase it from various sellers, including their website, Amazon, BestBuy, and Walmart.

How We Tested

To write our reviews, we thoroughly investigate a product and contrast it with competing top brands. As we consider our options, we thoroughly consider what the product offers customers and decide whether to recommend it.

Here’s how we tested:

Quality 7/10

The monitor’s quality is the most crucial factor to consider when selecting a blood pressure and heart health device. We examined its tracking and data sharing quality, report accuracy, and usability.

Blood pressure monitors that share your medical details directly can be beneficial as doctors can respond quickly and prepare better for appointments.

Effectiveness 8/10

We evaluated QardioArm’s measuring and medication adherence tools to see if it’s useful in helping patients adhere to a recommended treatment regimen.

BP monitors with medication trackers and alerts can save lives.

Price 6/10

A fair and competitive price is necessary to provide good service. Additionally, a wide range of payment options, an open cancellation policy, and an easy refund are crucial.

Brand reputation 8/10

We pick products from reputable brands trusted by customers. We also research what users think about the brand and gather reviews on the positive and negative user experience.

A Word From a Nutritionist

Hypertension can cause heart disease, strokes, and other serious health issues. It’s critical to monitor your blood pressure so you can take action to control it. Using blood pressure monitoring devices at home can help reduce chronic hypertension and the intake of blood pressure pills.

The cuff size is essential to consider when choosing a blood pressure monitor.

Your upper arm’s circumference is what determines the size. A cuff that doesn’t fit well may give inaccurate measurements.

Remember to also check for accuracy before using any blood pressure monitor. Most monitors you may buy offline or online are good. However, it won’t harm to take it to your doctor’s office and compare it to the office monitor.

If the measurements are within 10 points of the monitor, they’re often accurate.

The typical lifespan of a home blood pressure monitor is 2–3 years. After that, verify its accuracy at your doctor’s office once a year.

Conclusion

QardioArm is easy to use, read, and comprehend. Although it’s a good gadget, it might not work with other systems you use. It’s also powered by batteries. This means you can get inaccurate readings when they’re about to die.

Cardi Health can be a great alternative that falls more on the style spectrum of a medical device. Cardi Health offers useful features, such as a battery life of more than 8 months, a lighter monitor, easy-to-understand insights, and gives friendly medication reminders for a healthier heart.
Cardi Health gives accurate and dependable measurements, and, therefore, if you have high blood pressure, it’s more likely to identify it and help you take action to control it and get peace of mind.
