I get asked: what made you lose weight? Well, I had a hypertension scare.
My daughter happened to be by my side when I started feeling dizzy. I was short of breath, and I felt my heart palpitating like never before. I even thought if that was it…
My blood pressure was at 201/98. I was rushed to the hospital.
While waiting for the lab results, my daughter said something that changed me forever.
She said she was terrified I won’t be there to walk her down the aisle and that she’’ll probably lose me before I turn 65. She said that my grandkids will grow up hearing stories about me never having met me.
That was it. I thought if I got out of this hospital, I would do everything I could to lose weight and become healthier and more active. For my family AND for me.
I ended up going home just 2 days after that. I knew exactly what I wanted, but the problem was I had no idea HOW to do that.
I desperately wished I could just lose that excess weight that had haunted me for years and get my health back on track.
Losing weight used to be easy. Moving more was enough.
Everything changed after hitting 35. Even though I think I followed a decent diet, the weight started piling on.
Working out also got harder. My muscles and joints felt stiffer, and I needed longer breaks to recover. I noticed I became conscious of my looks.
Things went even more south when my blood pressure started going up. And the more weight I gained, the worse the condition became, of course.
The truth is, I’d been trying to lose weight for years…
But the results were always the same.
I’d lose a couple of pounds in the first few weeks, only for the weight to come right back on.
It was like my body just wanted to keep the weight on.
I had pretty much given up until…
He looked a lot leaner than I had ever seen him.
Not particularly muscular, but he had veins popping in his forearms. His face looked more defined too.
I asked him about his diet plan, thinking he’d tell me he started some crazy restrictive diet or workout.
What he told me caught me completely off guard.
He actually threw dirt on popular diets like low carb or generally food group restrictions.
All hype, he said, and not sustainable. You lose the weight and then put it back on.
Basically a waste of time.
He started getting real results only after he experimented with intermittent fasting.
In a nutshell, intermittent fasting isn’t about what you eat. It’s about WHEN you eat.
I could see how well it worked for him, so I wanted to know more.
Sometimes he would over-restrict himself, losing a lot of weight in the process, but come crashing down after a few weeks.
Other times, he would pig out during his feeding window because he felt really hungry, slowing down his weight loss.
He didn’t really find his stride until he started using a guiding app, which was fully optimized for his individual needs and saved him from trial and error.
Well, since I had nothing left to lose…
I was willing to at least give intermittent fasting a shot, hoping it would finally help me lose that excess weight, lower my BP, and push back the risk of diabetes.
So I did some research and signed up for an intermittent fasting program with an app to guide me through the process called DoFasting.
I had really low expectations when I started. I was sure I’d go hungry.
At first, it felt weird to not eat any time I thought I wanted to, but I found that drinking black coffee and lots of water kept my cravings under control.
What I really liked was the flexibility. I didn’t have to restrict myself from eating certain foods, like with most other diets. I didn’t feel deprived. This helped keep me motivated.
They say it takes around 21 days to form a habit. But it only took me around a week to start adjusting.
It was also when I first started noticing the difference in my health and energy levels.
I was waking up feeling lighter, and my stomach wasn’t sticking out as much. I felt less bloated, and my BP started showing some improvement.
The cravings I had faded away.
I found myself enjoying the plan and sticking to it more easily than I thought.
Seeing the difference only one week could make, I made up my mind to stick to DoFasting.
And well, after the first month, I was still dropping weight – and no plateau.
I started feeling like everything was in my hands again.
There is something about feeling good in your skin.
I’m starting to feel like a man again. Like I can accomplish anything.
You’ve probably been burned by other weight loss programs before, but this one is different.
People say I look 10 years younger now.
I feel fitter and stronger because I practice PERSONALIZED intermittent fasting – based on my age, weight, health history, and favorite foods.
All I did to start was answer a simple, free quiz (link below).
The DoFasting quiz is absolutely free and will show you what results you can expect following an intermittent fasting plan tailored to you. It’s risk-free. I recommend it to all my friends. Give it a go!

It works. I am a stone and a half lighter after 12 weeks and feel so much better. More energy and lower BP into the bargain.
I lost 44 lbs fasting and got off bp meds I’ve been on 8 years. My testosterone went up 210 points and I’m 68 years old. It took 5 months
A very nice article concerning health. It make sense and help a lot specially for the oldies.
I have been intermittent fasting 5 years, best thing I’ve done in a long time, after training for many years eating small meals 5 times a day, as I got older I just ended up carrying more weight, I only fast 5 days a,week and constantly change my hrs of fasting to confuse my body, works for me.
Great program. I fully recommend joining this company. They won’t rip you off
I am 58. After years of dieting which included excluding somw foods, intermittent fasting is what brought my weight down. I went from 98kg in January 2023 to 83kg in October 2023. Although 16/8 is much easier, I find 20/4 partial fasting more effective.
1sept 83kg – 21 Oct 72.2 kg – eating whatever I like basically the same amount of calories I consumed previously in three means but now in two meals in a 6 hour eating window. Clearer, calmer and happier and cholesterol down.
Not a very helpful questionnaire. I don’t want to lose weight so it won’t let me go any further. At 67kg and 179cm I’m light enough, just want to tone up. You need to rethink
Would like to know more
Ok, it’s a remedy to overweight & NCDs. Fasting is one of the major solution. Sound management of diet also assist greatly.
How do i go about this, fast every 2nd day?

I have been on DoFasting for more than a week now and I intend to continue. I have a question I need an answer to. Please reply to my request.

I started the intermittent fasting June 03 and my weight was 207 lbs, so far till Sept my weight is 160 lbs. It’s working for me and I’m eating everything I like
I travel a lot. So my weight is up. Does this plan allow for use on the road. And I don’t always have access for exercise.
Im 70 and and , nothing has worked so far. Im about 35 over……..
I am over 55 now and want to shed extra lbs
It looks like a great idea
I’ve been doing this for years, along with daily workouts. I work out early morning. I eat a good breakfast at around 10am ( not too strict about the time). Then between 4pm and 5pm I have a good dinner. Then no more eating after 6pm. I have cups of black tea, that is all. In the day I may have a bit of...

Then between 4pm and 5pm I have a good dinner. Then no more eating after 6pm. I have cups of black tea, that is all. In the day I may have a bit of fruit and a few nuts. I know it as the eight/sixteen diet – eight hours eating and sixteen hours with no eating. And YES it does work. I’m 76 and feel good with it! When I go on holiday, I have to compromise, but it’s easy to get back into the routine at home.
Been doing the intermittent fasting for about 10 months and have lost 60#
I have been on every diet with no success, this is the easiest weight loss program that I’ve ever done, I will continue on
I started IF three months ago. I also started walking 5 days a week and yes, I dropped most sugars, all fast foods and cut back on high carb snacks. I have gone from 270 lbs to 240 lbs. I seem to have leveled off a bit but am feeling better every day. Looking to drop 30 lbs more by mid Dec (4 months). This is doable!
We (a couple in their early seventies) have now for 1,5 years mostly had 3 meals a day, breakfast at around 10:30am, late lunch at around 2:30 om, and dinner at around 6:30 pm. My wife lost the 17 kilos she put on after her cancer treatment, and I got rid of 10-11 kilos. A excellent method!
I started just over a week ago and am very pleased with the App and the results so far. I find drinking a lot of water makes a big difference to not feeling peckish during daytime fasting. I am doing 16/8, although I started on 12/12.
Over the years I’ve tried various diets and found the same thing, weight loss followed by rebound ending up at or higher than start point. I decided to try intermittent fasting and only eat between 12:00 and 18:30. Coffee (black), water or clear tea can be drunk in the morning. Nothing at all after 6:30 pm. Results after two months. I decided to try intermittent fasting and only eat between 12:00 and 18:30. Coffee (black), water or clear tea can be drunk in the morning. Nothing at all after 6:30 pm.
Results after two months. Dropped from 237 to 220 and I’m not having to get up to pee multiple times a night. Oddly the food cravings have pretty much disappeared too, starting out I’d be watching the clock and getting food ready for 12, yesterday I didn’t eat until almost 2 pm because I was doing stuff and didn’t think of it. This happens regularly, I’d have eaten even later yesterday but my daughter called me to meet for a coffee so we ate.
Energy levels are climbing and bp is dropping.
This one is sustainable for me. I will occasionally eat earlier or later if there’s a reason, eg dinner with friends or breakfast with family but this has happened maybe 3 times in two months and I find that I tend to eat less than in the past.
I’ve struggled my whole adult life and never had any meaningful success till now…fasting 18/6 for about 2.5 months now, and it works for me, combined with a clear understanding of what “calorie deficit” means along with it. Down 15lbs from my high point in late March….no sugar, no junk, no cravings either. The key is getting enough protein which keeps you satiated. Once you set your ‘consumption window’, it’s easier to commit and keep track of calories. Forget EVERYthing else…at the end of the day, it’s about calories.
been doing it almost 2 years. It works. Incredible things happen when you combine a restrictive diet with eating more nutritious foods, lower fat, higher fibre, more plants than animal foods
Hi
I’ve been intermittent fasting for years now. It’s effortless and the weight stays off. It works. Period.
Want to give it a try
Intermittent fasting now since 2016, was initially 105kg, now 82kg, and keeping at that level consistently over the past years, works fine for me.
Intermittent fasting is great
I do 20 to 24 hour fasts daily
In 2 to 3 days you can start feeling better.
Sounds great
I have been IF now for 3 months, losing weight, getting leaner, and feeling fine! Age 76 years!
It really works, and become a way of living. I left behind 28 kg in less than a year, and in my 55th, I feel younger and healthier than ever.
Yes, Intermittent fasting works. For me it started during lent season, I would only eat one meal a day, only vegetables and no alcohol. Gradually I saw tremendous weight reduction. The trousers started falling, I got a lot of strength and funny enough I would even go for up to three days without needing to go toilet. I was weighing 105Kgs, but now weigh...

The trousers started falling, I got a lot of strength and funny enough I would even go for up to three days without needing to go toilet. I was weighing 105Kgs, but now weigh 90Kgs. I realized we spend so much money on alcohol and food, money we in the real sense are just wasting, but also killing us in that state of economic wasting. Headaches disappeared, needing to eat also disappeared. To this day, I eat majorly one meal a day.
I went from 145kg to 95kg in 6 months with the 20 hour fast and swimming a 100 laps in a 12,5 meter pool. People think it’s this huge mountain because you believe the lies such as, “It took you years to put on…it will take years to lose!” Crap!!! All you need to be is determined. I also had fun. I ate burgers and chocolates in my eating window. Just not every day and obviously it’s all about amounts and calories. You can’t make a pig of yourself during your eating window. 5000 calories in 4 hours or 24 hours is still the same. Have fun with it but be realistic.
I have been doing an 20 / 4 fasting program
good article
At first the weight didn’t move then after 2 weeks some weight gone ,suddenly my gears where easy to do up ,more energy 6 weeks in only 7 lbs gone but feeling great doing the 16/8 seems the easiest to do so glad I found IT will probably stay with it for ever!

I immediately started losing weight and it really didn’t feel like I was doing anything. I lost 20kg going from 92kg to 72kg and have stayed there. My health has improved enormously. BP has come down to a normal range. I feel fitter and younger than I did. And through all this process, I ate and drank whatever I wanted. I never overdid it to be honest, but I never consciously held myself back. It is the easiest way to lose weight and keep it off and I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone.
Fasting works for me. I’ve been doing it for about two years. More recently I’ve moved to complete fasting days which, when coupled with intermittent fasting means 42 hours between meals about once a week. It’s an amazing, energising experience
Was really skeptical but it is the only plan that has worked for me. 8 weeks and have lost 15 pounds. No cravings … no hunger pangs… and feel so much better. It may not be for everyone but it sure works for me. Don’t even think no about it anymore!
Started IF last week, I already see a change in my body. Excited to continue!

Tried it, works for me.

I was a bit skeptical at first given how many times I failed to lose weight using new diets. but having tried intermittent fasting for over three months, I must say this is legit! It took me about a week to get used to the diet. But after that, I noticed visible weight loss, which I haven’t regained since. I went from 174 lbs to 153 lbs, and I continue to see my body getting fitter over time, without feeling hungrier than usual. I don’t see myself returning to a normal diet now.
I wish I could have an effective diet to eliminate excess body weight and control my BP.
It certainly is working for me…its great..
