I have tried so many ways to get my A1c down. I tried it on my own, last year, not eating as many carbs! I walked Miles on the beach 3 times a week & lost 30 lbs. & my A1c was 6.3!!!! I was elated, then holidays came and in 6 mos., I had 2 surgeries & no more exercise…now I’m back online...

I find it weird that iIntermittent fasting didn’t help you with your blood sugars. Unless you ate a lot of sugar and processed food, it should have – it certainly helped me. My A1C is currently 5.9, down quite a bit. I credit a healthy low-carb 16:8 regimine.

THANK YOU SO MUCH. I am a type 1 Diabetic, and have tried all the listed diets but one, the gluten-free diet. I had success on the 17-day diet by Mike Moreno but gained the weight back over 2 years now. I am looking for a lifestyle I can continue forever. Wish me luck. 🙂

I lost weight easily as I eat mostly vegetables, fruits and fish. Then I had an awakening I’m suspected of having sarcopenia. I’m currently on supplements & collegen with 12 more pounds to lose.

I need a plan the whole family can follow. My husband has to keep his A1C at 6.5 or lower. He only eats protein when he needs to get it down and now he has kidney issues. Will this plan work so he can eat a variety of foods and be family friendly?

I would like to see more information. I don’t have any form of diabetes – not Eve close, but I like to do what I can to prevent it & other lifestyle conditions. I can’t get into it unless I indicate a type of diabetes I have. I have friends with diabetes, but could never recommend without more information.

Reading this explanation of various diet plans makes it is very clear there is another plan I have never heard of. Being diabetic I knew Atkinson diet seems mor protein based, less carbs, however, I have serious kidney problem which doesn’t want proteins, but more carbs as the kidney has a harder time breaking down proteins, so it is hard to balance between them to...

Interesting comments, but, in my case, a grocery store is more than 80 miles away; so any diet that relies on “fresh” fruits and vegetables, isn’t cost effective for me. If it can’t be dried, frozen or canned, it’s not possible.

I’ve determined that I can eat grass(non-fertilized) and drink water. This is not the way I plan to live the remaining years I have. I try to be careful and gave myself a lot of leeway over Christmas. Now it’s back to grass and water.

I sent them an email and the response came very quickly. Although this diet wouldn’t do for me, the customer service was superb and if they develop a better list of menus...

I had the same issues with Keto and Atkins. I felt like I was only eating fat. Still can’t really look at avocados. I tried Klinio, and I do love the variety of meals & subsequent grocery list. It really helps to avoid eating on the fly & maybe making choices that are not blood sugar friendly.

Thanks for a good read, thought of starting fasting myself. You pointed out my biggest fears here. I heard that it can be great for weight loss, but there is no specific plan, so everything is still up to you. I think a detailed plan would help. Klinio does sound interesting.
