Today we invited Christine to talk about a sensitive topic – healthy weight loss through fasting for people up to 70. She is a certified nutritionist, fasting enthusiast, and Head of Nutrition at one of the most successful fasting facilitating apps there is.
Today she will answer the burning questions about fasting and show us where to find the right fasting type for more effective and easier weight loss (without hunger)!

Great question! Hunger is a survival instinct. It’s embedded in us. So whether you eat every 2 hours or fast 16 hours daily, hunger will show its signs here and there. And it’s ok! The biggest misconception about hunger when fasting is that people think hunger will never go away. They believe it will build up and cause literal pain. Hunger comes and goes in waves with the same or even less intensity than before.
Look at the images below:
Hunger pangs don’t accumulate over time. And since hunger has rhythm – the more we fast, the fewer hunger pangs we have. That’s what’s so unique about fasting. Your stomach shrinks over time, and you are way less hungry than before.
And here’s a quick tip: coffee (yes, you can have it during your fasting window!), a tall glass of water, or a cup of green tea has an almost magical effect on hunger and it won’t break a fast. .
First, I’ll say this (but then read for a solution): a professional should consider some important details about you, your health, and your body composition and provide personalized recommendations regarding the length of the fast. This is one of the best ways to experience health-promoting results with fasting and lose a significant amount of weight. Unfortunately, having consulted and helped thousands of people, I know how inconvenient, time-consuming, and even expensive it may be.
Honestly, I couldn’t stand the fact that people would delay a healthier, happier, more active life that fasting brings only because they don’t know how to start fasting.
That’s why my colleagues and I have created a perfect tool for beginners in fasting. We learn enough about their situation and preferences through a short and free quiz. I will share the link at the end so that you can try it out, too!
And then, we’re ready to personalize a fasting plan and include everything to ensure a smooth and successful fasting experience: time and water intake trackers for fasting, daily tips and guidelines to keep on the right track, a library of recipes, and even home-friendly exercise routines! All of that – within the comfort of your home, within reach of your hand. Saving any beginner hundreds or maybe thousands of dollars!
For those who want a generic fasting schedule, starting from a 12-hour fasting window is always safe. Put that in practice – eat your last meal/snack at 9 PM and have the first bite of breakfast at 9 in the morning. Here you go. You’ve just safely rested your gut and probably eased the bloating a bit.
But remember, there is no one-size-fits-all anywhere, and that’s the same with fasting. A personalized fasting plan is the key to the most significant changes: weight loss, energy, focus, less pain, and health.
That’s the beauty of fasting. It’s not a diet. It’s not about what you eat, but when you eat it. It does not restrict any foods, and it will not deprive you of anything. Counting calories when fasting is absolutely optional. Having that pizza within your fasting window will not sabotage you!
Sure, healthy recipe options will always come in handy if you want faster results. That is also one of the reasons why you should go for a personalized approach to fasting. That way, you will have an extensive library of recipes cherry-picked by someone like me based on your likes, needs, and preferences.
The fasting app I work on makes everything easy for people. I’ve seen them lose 10, 20, 40lbs, and more with this app. At any age – 50, 60, 70, you name it!
Considering you chose a personalized approach where everything is done for you instead of swimming in the ocean of the unknown, you could start feeling the results of fasting almost immediately.
I’m talking about less bloating, feeling lighter, and more energetic. To start seeing the weight come off…It could take anywhere from a week. People lose clothing sizes and need to change their wardrobes in a matter of just a few months. And it’s easy to commit to because you have everything prepared for you!
I recommend the DoFasting app because it’s easy to stick to and follow consistently. It’s very beginner friendly. And also because I’ve put my heart and soul into it! I saw our community grow to almost half a million simply because it’s created to work – to help people lose weight through fasting easily. It eliminates all the guesswork.
So If you want to lose weight without obsessing over calories, macros, or constantly doubting yourself, here’s the good news: you can get your own personalized fasting plan today and experience weight loss results that many of DoFasting’s customers rave about. Start with this free quiz!

Thank you so much for sharing this information! I really like the way fasting makes me feel, I usually just stick to a 16-18 hr fast. I feel less brain foggy, less hungry and I generally have more energy when I fast! The app has helped me tremendously!
Structured intermittent fasting has helped me calm my extremely heavy periods to just a nice light normal flow, and also it regulated them. I love how I could ease into fasting, nothing extreme and I enjoy the recipes! For people in overload; I.e. obese, too much endometrial buildup, very heavy periods with clots, and pcos, IF helps tremendously.
I was recommended intermittent fasting because I have to deal with diabetes and autoimmune disorders. The reason behind the recommendation was because it helps to limit the inflammation in your gut and manage insulin levels. Weight loss can occur during intermittent fasting but not always and that’s not exactly the point of it. Most people actually say that it helps give them more energy...

The reason behind the recommendation was because it helps to limit the inflammation in your gut and manage insulin levels. Weight loss can occur during intermittent fasting but not always and that’s not exactly the point of it. Most people actually say that it helps give them more energy throughout the day which is linked to insulin. It’s working wonders for me so far. Lost 9 lbs in 2 weeks and not stopping!
