I was obese all my life. I am raising my 11-year-old granddaughter, and just a few months ago, I had a scare where I thought I was going to kick the bucket… She’s lost too many people, and I did not want to do that to her.
Improving my health became my #1 priority. And there’s only one thing I did to see significant weight loss results in less than a month (28 days, to be precise). And I’m still going. Didn’t hit any plateaus!
And I’m going to tell you all about it.
The reason I used to be so overweight was caused by my ridiculously unhealthy eating habits. I was one of those people who always thought, “I’ve done everything to lose weight, but nothing happened,” when in reality, I had done nothing.
It took a really long time to admit that. I would start dieting, and two days in, I would shove my face with all the wrong foods and say the diet failed me. Actually, what failed me was my choices of diet.
My partner decided to start tracking what he ate one day, which I thought was just a short-lived thing. Still, I decided to try it out with him.
At the end of the first day, I put all the food I ate into a tracker. I was taken aback. The sheer amount of food entering my body was unimaginable, and I felt the instant need to eat less and somehow get the toxic foods out of my system.
Like many, I have struggled with weight problems and binge eating for years and tried everything under the sun to control it. Counting food points (successful in the short term), plain calorie counting, over-exercising, keto, and dozens of books on dieting.
Nothing worked in the long term, and I’ve been gaining and losing the same 25 pounds FOR DECADES.
For anyone struggling with weight and wanting to shed some pounds for health and longevity, pay close attention to this next part.
After realizing I was vastly overeating, I decided to try and “move” my weight using intermittent fasting because I’ve heard that fasting may help to suppres appetite and reduce bloating.
And not being hungry and bloated all the time was one of the main things I needed to do to start losing weight. The problem was I had no idea where to start. I was an absolute beginner, and I really needed thorough guidance.
This was how I found this “challenge” type (irony is that it was actually very easy to follow and adapt) approach to intermittent fasting. That was the best start I could’ve given myself. I received detailed instructions for eating windows, when and what to eat, recipes, grocery shopping lists, explanations about the stages of intermittent fasting, and methods to overcome cravings. Daily. Everything step-by-step.
And the best part for me was that initially, I only had to devote 28 days to the ‘challenge’.
I started seeing the results almost immediately, with less bloating especially, and couldn’t contain my happiness thinking of how much my body would change in 28 days!
I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to lose weight because I wasn’t hungry most of the time, and my binging just stopped.
I’ve been on this earth for quite some time now, and I had tried everything under the sun to stop binging, overeating and lose weight before.
Nothing, absolutely nothing, worked. I used to be hungry and tired all the time. I ALWAYS went back to binging just a few days after starting any other weight loss method. Nothing ever worked for me like this plan.
I lost a significant amount of weight that month without much effort, because I knew exactly when and what to do, and I didn’t stop there. I kept following the plan that was created for me and didn’t hit any plateaus.
Oh, and just a short side story – my aunt and her 80-year-old friend were in town when I started losing weight. The friend didn’t eat with us because she was playing tennis!
She’s also on the same personalized intermittent fasting plan as I am! I honestly don’t think that’s a coincidence. At 80! She’s a nutritionist and so insanely healthy.
I want that at 80, and I finally feel like I could be someone like her healthwise pretty soon!
This fasting challenge was a discovery for me. It’s a personalized plan with a professional nutritionist leading the way. Very detailed. I had every question answered with the first part of the plan that was sent to me. Also, I had everything sent to my email daily. No apps and all that jazz. Easy. All I had to do was read and follow the guidance. That’s it!
Today I’m no longer “morbidly obese,” and I’m only around 15 pounds over the “healthy range.” I have a great deal of energy and strength! I don’t enjoy telling individuals I’ve met since then about my weight loss journey, but I believe it’s critical that everyone understands the value of motivating others and being honest.
I now understand that weight loss is difficult only if you don’t have a set plan. But it gets so much easier if you have a team of professionals helping you every step of the way.
