Health Insider recently sat down with the founder of Joggo to discuss how he believes his app is impacting people.
Joggo was created by former Ironman and head running coach Chris Zibutis, who realized the benefits of running many years ago.

The clear deadline meant no backing out; the time was set, and so was the distance.
We were not ready to run that far when we bought the tickets. The last kilometers were devastating – torture. But we did it.
After a race, sitting in the restaurant, eating a burger while chugging a coke, and feeling proud about myself came the realization that it was not that bad after all. I could see why one would want to go for a run.
This first challenge gave me unbelievable drive and motivation to push myself further. My body felt exhausted, but my mind was clearer than ever.
With a new goal and motivation, I started running every week, and soon after, I hit my goal of 21k. I remember thinking, ‘Perhaps, only perhaps, it could be possible to double that distance and run a marathon?’
This seemed humanly possible to me at the time.
Nonetheless – the same strategy applied – purchase a ticket to the event before you are ready and get a training plan. The date has come, and I finished my first marathon. I was broken physically but in the clouds mentally.
A streak of marathons followed after – Denmark, Norway, Lithuania, China, and Ironman.
I became a running preacher. My friends started joining me on runs; I’d instruct them on basic running rules, help set goals, and create training plans. Not long after, they began applying my methods to complete their marathons and beat personal bests.
It didn’t seem enough to inspire my friends and family only. I set out a mission to help as many people reach their running goals.
