I sat in my backyard watching my grandkids play. Anne is 4, and little Jamie is 6. They bring so much joy. They were calling me to play with them, but… I just felt tired without doing much that day. I also knew my knees, ankles, and back would hurt.
I couldn’t wrap my head around how quickly time flew by. Once a beautiful, independent, and active woman, I now realized I needed more and more assistance.
The piling pounds were strongly adding to how I felt.
I dreamed of becoming a healthy, active woman who still had many years to live. I wanted to create memories for my grandchildren and be a significant part of their lives.
I was driven and motivated, but I didn’t really know where to start. I had tried and failed many diets: keto, Paleo, Atkins, counting points, and others…
I couldn’t bear the hunger pangs, counting calories or macros (the worst!), or having to eliminate my favorite foods from my life.
Things that were easy to do in the past now required more effort than I was used to. Sometimes, I would look in the mirror and…
I saw myself as an active wife, mother, and grandmother. But my body didn’t reflect my true inner self-image.
I hesitated to order food in public because it seemed I could read the minds of other people:
“You need to eat less.”
“Oh, she shouldn’t be ordering that.”
“How about some salad instead of a cheeseburger?”
Because of the excess weight, I was suffering from joint pain and constant fatigue.
The rock bottom was when I started hiding snacks all over my house. This way, I could snack whenever I wanted without anyone seeing or judging me.
One day, I came across an article. It was on the benefits of fasting.
It explained how intermittent fasting not only helps lose weight, especially for people aged 50 and over, but also helps prevent type 2 diabetes and other lifestyle and age-related conditions.
The article led me to an easy-looking fasting program. I decided to give it a try and stick to it for some time, just to check how it worked. But honestly, I was skeptical because fasting sounded like starvation to me.
To those who might not know what intermittent fasting exactly is – it’s eating only within set time blocks or windows.
I gave myself 28 days to try out this intermittent fasting experiment.
Before starting, I completed a short quiz that gave me all of the information on the future journey that I needed – the summary about my body and estimations on how fast I would lose weight with a fasting plan. And then, I got a personalized intermittent fasting plan in my email (which was very convenient).
I felt uncertain when I first started. I had some nagging thoughts in my head that maybe I shouldn’t do it. I feared I would fail again.
But it was my only way out of misery, so I gave it a go. Here are a few notes of how it went:
Day 1.
After completing the free quiz and setting up my personal fasting plan, I started getting information from a dedicated nutritionist in my email. From the very first emails, I felt encouraged and motivated. I started following the plan that same day.
Day 3.
I woke up to find something was different. I was less bloated than usual, which was hard to believe because I thought bloating was my natural state…
I stepped on the scale, not expecting anything, just out of curiosity. Couldn’t believe I had started losing weight already!
Days 4–6.
I felt inspired. I knew every step I had to take, and I felt like a warrior! I cooked easy meals approved by my nutritionist and even allowed myself to tweak them a bit to my liking.
Also, by this time, I had formed a habit of reading useful bite-sized insights on fasting. All of which were sent to my email daily. They were always aligned with my fasting day, so I had no surprises along the way.
Day 7.
I could already see my belly sticking out a bit less than before. My energy levels increased. And the most unexpected thing – I started feeling as if pain (especially) in my knees was starting to go away.
From then on, intermittent fasting became easier. I was motivated by the results I was seeing and feeling daily, both on the scale and in the mirror. My mood changed. Two weeks in, and it seemed that my skin started glowing, almost like the elasticity improved.
People started noticing my weight loss by the end of week 3.
I was hungry at times. I had this bad habit of snacking late at night, and oh boy was it hard to break. The good thing was that this program grants access to a closed community page where people can share their struggles and help each other. My nutritionist gave a few very useful tips too.
One of the fasting benefits is that it reduces hunger (pangs) in time, and it took me a week or so to start feeling this effect.
Also, I had a hard time refusing Oreos and Hershey’s at first and really felt deprived. That was until I was reminded that intermittent fasting was not so much about what I eat but when I eat it. Knowing that I actually could have a dessert in my eating window was a relief.
I lost 8 lbs, but… I didn’t stop after 28 days. I decided that I loved living a healthier, painless, energetic life. This experiment showed me I could live.
For the first time in my life, I lost weight successfully. It wasn’t a matter of willpower because I didn’t have much of that. Also, it wasn’t mere luck. I simply had all the right tools handed to me.
I used MyFastingChallenge to guide me throughout the 28 (and all other) days.
And it all started with a 60-second quiz.
Having credible and qualified help every step of the way for the first time in my life set me up for the amazing results I achieved.
So to be fair and exact with my results: I’ve lost 18.8 lbs and 12 inches around my body in total. I’ve gone two sizes down so far by following the program.
Just a few months ago, I was an absolute beginner at fasting. Today – I’m slimmer, healthier, and happier than ever. And I know I did it in a healthy way, without deprivation.
I wish I knew before what I know now after this experiment. There are no secrets. It’s just this one key element – the guidance throughout, where everything is explained, and you only follow.
I’m having so much fun with my grandkids now. They love seeing me active.
I’ve lost almost 20 lbs, and I can only imagine how well it can work for anyone else. It is achievable. And not complicated at all.
All it takes is one minute to take this free quiz. No commitment. No pressure.
The least you will get from it are the insights and the vision of who you could become. And the most… lose that weight without pain or deprivation.

I had some good success with intermittent fasting. Lost ~15 pounds in 3 months. I made sure to get a lot of protein and followed exercise program. As long as you’re keeping a complete and balanced diet as it’s suggested, it’s totally healthy and it works!
I find this program to be fantastic. I’m 5’10 26 went from 200lbs to 180lbs through 4 months of intermittent fasting and simple cardio like walking every day. I eat a large salad for lunch, some berries or fruit mid afternoon, work out after work, and not feel guilty for eating a large satisfying dinner because I’m still in a deficit. Took me about a week to make it easy.
It’s a trick to get you to succeed in not eating too much.
