I’ve always had a good body, not a supermodel, but nothing to complain about either. But when I turned 50 I noticed some changes that started happening and they really freaked me out.
At first, I noticed minor things: gassiness, bloating, constipation. The discomfort grew with every passing day it seemed.
Then I began gaining weight. A few pounds, at first… But the more I waited for my health to fix itself, the worse it got.
Pound after pound and I somehow managed to gain over 30 in a year or so… It seemed I no longer had control over my body…And I couldn’t believe what was happening to ME!
Even my skin felt inflamed… I started noticing more wrinkles and dryness. I had random red patches on my cheeks and peeling skin next to my eyebrows and no creams seemed to be helping.
My whole body was bigger, there was fat on my arms and legs. My face was all red and blotchy. Whenever I looked in the mirror I didn’t recognize the woman looking back.
I constantly felt tired and I stopped taking care of myself because of that. My marriage was strained as well.
My husband tried everything to make me feel better, but nothing worked and I often took out my frustrations on him.
I felt like I was watching my life go by. Both of my kids have had babies recently and I couldn’t even be around to help them out. I was angry for no reason!
After one horrible weekend I finally decided to do something and turn my life around.
I started going to see doctors and all of them told me the same: Work out and watch what you eat.
They said I’m having some gut health problems and that often came hand-in-hand with menopause.
So I went on these crazy diets, eating small portions once in a while. Only eating salads and anything that was deemed ‘healthy’.
I also signed up for my local gym.
However, I just felt more tired, and foggy and the stress of it all made me feel worse about myself.
And the worst part was that I didn’t really see a difference. I would lose a couple of pounds and then gain them right back.
Then I saw a post about intermittent fasting my friend liked on Facebook.
I’ve heard of fasting before, but I just thought it was a new young people trend that, honestly, sounded ridiculous. I mean starving yourself? Really?
But I was so desperate I decided I’d give it a go. I jumped into research and I’m not lying when I say it was supremely overwhelming.
All the terms it had: 16/8 method, 5:2 diet, and Eat-stop-eat just to mention a few. I had no idea what any of that meant!
So I reached out to a said friend, who, looking at her impeccable physique and young looks (despite her being over 60!), knew a lot about fasting CORRECTLY.
She was happy to help me out and told me that she achieved everything with the help of a personalised intermittent fasting guidance app – DoFasting. She urged me to give it a go for the fastest results.
Now, I’m not someone who trusts everything easily, but I was out of options.
And I was surprised how easy it was to get into a healthy intermittent fasting plan, especially for a lady in my age!
When I started reading up about fasting it was all so overwhelming, but with the app’s help, it felt like the easiest thing!
I didn’t have to read countless articles and research anymore, it was all there in one place. The app explained perfectly how fasting works and how I can get my old self back.
It’s also amazing how personalized it is. It seemed like I had my own dietitian in my pocket, who was there to guide me every step of the way!
I just couldn’t believe it. The bloating and gassiness went away. My digestion has never been better. I was no longer constipated and my skin cleared right up.
I’ve lost more than 30 pounds and feel much more toned and strong! My arms and legs are slim again and I don’t run out of breath no matter how much I run around with my grandkids.
The cramps, bloating, and difficulties going to the bathroom are just not a problem anymore, it’s like I never had them in the first place.
I’ve rekindled the relationship I had with my family and friends. I can see my grandkids as much as I want! Play with them and watch them when my kids need a little break.
But…Most importantly, I love myself again!
Now, when I look in the mirror, I can see the same woman I did just a few years ago. If I’m being honest, I feel like I look 10 years younger even.
When I sent my friend a photo of my changes, she flipped out and congratulated me over and over again. I was so happy I listened to her and tried out the app.
So please, if you’re having these issues, don’t be like me and waste time hating yourself, try out Dofasting and see for yourself. It might be exactly what you need!
Thank you for your comment
Wow, this is such an eye-opening story! I’ll give the app a go because I want to lose fat and just be healthier for my family, but I just don’t know where to start. Wish me luck! 😀
Eating food because it is fun ->stretched stomach->harder to get full->more food eaten and more time spent eating.
I was fat for most of my life, but that is no longer the case. Doctors blamed my hormone levels and genetics and whatever else. Now I fast and eat at the right time.
Food is addictive, and it’s hard for so many people to recognize that and break away from it, especially since it’s everywhere. But fasting works. I also used the app to learn how to fast correctly. I noticed that I eat the same amount of food, but at the right time, and I’m losing weight. Great article!
