Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) is the number of calories your body needs to remain functional at rest.
BMR is also known as your body’s metabolism.
To determine your BMR, simply enter your height, gender, age, and weight below. Once you have determined your Basal Metabolic Rate, you can track how many calories you need per day to maintain or reduce your weight.
TDEE – total daily energy expenditure, or the number of calories you burn each day.
Once you use your BMR to determine your TDEE, you can ensure that the eating plan you are following is in line with your energy expenditure and that you are not eating too many or too few calories.
Being armed with this knowledge, rather than just guessing or blindly following a plan without tailoring it to your individual needs, can make the difference between muscle gain or fat loss.
