Fitness apps are all the rage, but many people question how effective they are for getting in shape. So when our editor Jenny tested the new viral ”Fitter” app we couldn’t believe her transformation.
“15-minute workout, 4 times a week.”
Ever since I could remember myself, I’ve always been someone who’s struggled with my size.
My weight kept going up and down over the years until two years ago, when I managed to hit my “ideal weight.”
I didn’t have abs or anything, and it didn’t come easy, but I managed to stay in pretty good shape for around a year.
Then the pandemic hit.
And suddenly, all of my efforts got shoved down the toilet.
Because the pandemic sent me on a work-from-home schedule.
Soon, meal-prepping salads gave way to ordering fast food.
I stopped being mindful of my meals. Food became one of my few comforts.
Honestly, I began feeling numb. No motivation. I regressed. And well, forget exercise.
A whole week would pass by without me stepping outside.
I also developed this weird habit of mindlessly scrolling in my Facebook and Instagram for hours on end.
Trawling through random photos and spying on other people’s feeds like a Peeping Tom.
But the real kick in the butt that snapped me awake came next.
Anger, sadness, disgust – a whole range of emotions flashed through my head when I realized none of my jeans fit.
How did I let this happen to myself?
All of my years of effort going to waste – and for what? Food? More flavor?
I wouldn’t let this pass.
I couldn’t join a gym because of the pandemic, so I tried bodyweight exercises. I did a few sit-ups and squats here and there, but finding the strength to go for a run regularly?
Yeah, right. Good luck.
So I started googling for home workout options, and I found a few apps. But all of them looked SO extreme.
Showing lean girls with legs carved out of wood and ripped, huge, muscly men.
I was intimidated, but I tried a few of the workouts anyway and shouldered through the exercises.
All that did was make me sore to the touch for an entire week (no joke).
I don’t know about you, but I wasn’t looking for a workout plan that’s hard and drives me nuts.
All I wanted was something easy to stick to that provides a steady, quick, and effective way of getting into shape.
The “Fitter” Workout App Was Exactly What I Needed
First things first: I only did a 15-minute workout four times a week. I was skeptical of how much I could accomplish in such a narrow time frame, but results don’t lie.
The workout is amazing. It’s a bit like having a personal trainer, only a hundred times less expensive.
All of my workouts consisted of easy-to-follow exercises. I used nothing more than my body.
Here’s what you should know about the “Fitter” app.
Even though I got quick results with 15-minute workouts, the workouts were still, well, workouts.
I wasn’t feeling wiped out by the end of each session, but you do need to break a sweat to see results.
My advice? Power through and do what you can. Then pat yourself on the back and be patient. Your body will get stronger quickly.
Second, it’s hard to exercise yourself thin if you don’t watch your diet. That can be hard with all the restrictions, but thankfully, “Fitter” comes with a fat-burning meal plan that keeps things really simple.
You don’t have to follow it 100% to see results… but if you follow it, your body will transform even faster.
Okay, that’s the “hard” stuff about “Fitter.” Now that we got that out of the way…
Here Are Some Reasons I REALLY Loved The “Fitter” App.
For one, the app kicked me out of my pandemic slump.
My biggest concern with working out at home was being motivated enough to actually do it.
If we’re honest, I hate to admit this, but I’m inherently a bit of a lazy person.
Keeping the workouts at 15-minute sessions made the program so much more bearable for me. It was something I could wrap my head around.
And soon enough, I started liking the workouts. They made me feel GOOD.
The app got me into being active again. And frankly, I have more energy and look better than… well, ever.
And because it is so much more affordable than a gym… I’m definitely sticking with it in the future.
But How Can The “Fitter” App Produce Great Results In Just 15-Minutes?
The reason why “Fitter” is so powerful is that EVERYTHING is personalized.
You start by answering a few simple questions about your height, weight, and fitness levels. They then get advanced and ask you about your preferred body type (lean, athletic, curvy) and your number one target area.
You wish, they deliver. For example, I asked for a toned butt.
These clever little questions allow them to make a custom program just for you. It’s a much safer and far more effective way to lose weight and get toned.
Do I recommend the app?
If you’re anything like me – a person who needs a bit of direction to be held accountable – I honestly think “Fitter” is 100% worth it.
You can workout anytime, anywhere, without any equipment needed. But don’t take my word for it.
