43 Lbs Down and Regained Self-Love: Julia’s Inspiring Story

After we saw Julia posting her results online, we knew we wanted to know more about her story and share it with others.

After losing 43 lbs using a personalized wellness book, Julia is now a changed woman who inspires the weight loss community with her transformation every single day.

Today our journalist sits down with Julia to find out more about the routine that helped her lose weight and regain her joy of life.”

You have lost 43 pounds. Could you share why you started your weight loss journey?

“I weighed 190 pounds at the beginning of 2021, and I just knew that I’d had enough. I had no energy, no motivation to exercise or to eat anything else that wasn’t high in sugar. 

I was only 25 at that time but felt as if my best years had already passed. 

Of course, everybody should love themselves, but I really didn’t. I wanted to feel confident, sexy, strong, and beautiful.”

Thank you for sharing, Julia. What made you take the first step towards a healthy change?

“At 190 lbs and young age, I wasn’t enjoying life. 

I never wanted to go out with my friends and party. Every dress seemed too tight on me, every glance in the mirror made me annoyed. But one day, I just kept staring at my reflection. 

It was that moment that made me rethink what I was doing to my health and prompted me to make changes. 

I didn’t feel sad or annoyed. For the first time, I actually felt hopeful. I knew that I could change the way I looked; I just needed to be determined and find the strategy that would work for me.

The first step was taking long walks with a friend after work. The first week, I could barely keep up with her and was completely out of breath. But it got easier and easier with every step we took.

As nice as it was seeing my mood and energy levels improve after a few weeks, I wanted to try out something else that would bring me faster results. 

I knew I wanted to lose weight in a healthy way, no strict diets or 6-day gym sessions.”

You mentioned a “wellness book” before the interview. Is that when you discovered it? Can you tell us more about it?

“Yes, exactly. I was googling ‘healthy weight loss’ for like a week. There were a lot of ‘free’ programs online that looked really nice, but I noticed that most of them only did one week’s plan, and the recipes were the same on each website.

All in all, they just looked very boring, and I didn’t want to starve on 1,000 calories per day. I knew that if I did it, I would give up. I’ve tried diets like that before. 
Then my algorithm probably picked up that I’m looking for a healthy weight loss plan.

I was scrolling through my friends’ stories on Instagram and noticed an ad for Beyond Body’s personalized book. It got my attention because it said ‘personalized’ – and that’s what I was looking for.

It also looked very aesthetic, and it even had someone’s name written on it.

So I thought, ‘why not?’ and clicked it.”

And how was it personalized? Was it difficult to do?

“Oh, it was super easy. All I had to do was answer 31 questions. They asked about my current situation, weight goals, health conditions, allergies. 

They even excluded tomatoes and fish from my plan because I don’t like them, which I thought was a very cool detail.”

Did you have any major struggles during your journey?

“Hands down, it was sweets. I love sweets, and sometimes, it was very hard not to eat something like that. But I cleared out my cabinets and gave all the cookies and chocolates away. From that point, it got a bit easier not to be tempted.

I also noticed a weird thing. One week into my personalized meal plan, I started enjoying fruits as a substitute for chocolate and sweets. I mean, it felt like my taste buds recovered. Bananas and strawberries tasted sweeter than before and totally satisfied my sweet tooth.

But the hardest one was really to eat THAT much. It sounds so stupid, but I never felt hungry with this ‘diet.’ I didn’t even notice when it was time for yet another delicious and healthy snack.”

When did you start seeing results, and what results have you achieved overall?

“I saw my first results after one month. My clothes began to feel loose. I remember I had these shorts that I couldn’t zip all the way up because of my broader hips and waist. After a month, they were looser. I can’t remember the last time I had clothes that felt a bit bigger on me. I was standing there looking in the mirror, smiling ear to ear.

In total, I have lost 43 pounds within 9 months, and now I weigh 145 lbs. I am 4 dress sizes smaller.”

Amazing results, congratulations! Can I also ask you how your habits changed?

“This book really changed the whole way I eat. I eat much more consciously. I say to everybody that it’s one of the easiest and most pleasant ways to get your dream weight.”

What do you mean by “more consciously”?

“Everything I have read in the book opened my eyes to one thing – I don’t have to starve to have the body I want. I just need to love my body enough to fill it with whole, nutritious foods that were calculated specifically for me. There are also some helpful mindfulness exercises, tips on how to avoid bloating, how to get enough sleep, etc. Basically everything you need to learn to live a fulfilling, healthy lifestyle without ever restricting yourself.”

What was your favorite thing about this book, and how would you motivate others to start this journey?

“The unique thing about Beyond Body and the one that was the most appealing to me is that you can always switch something, and you can eat so much that you’re not starving. 

The meals are really easy to prepare even when you have a full-time job. The maximum I spend in the kitchen these days is 30 minutes.

As far as the motivation goes, I say that you’ve got to make a decision. You’re either doing it or you’re not. And if you’re not, you’re not going to get results, and nothing’s going to change. 

I even motivate myself at the moment. I really do, honestly. And I’m surprised by this – I did not expect these results. That was a great way to lose that much weight, and I changed my eating habits. I have more energy and love to work out.

If I could go back and do it all again, I’d do it exactly the same way.”

  1. My BeyondBody e-book has been an absolute lifesaver since I started working from the office again. I just don’t have the time for elaborate meals anymore, so the quick and easy recipes keep me from ordering takeaway any chance I get.

  2. I wish I found this sooner!
    I find it so much easier not to binge when I don’t have junk food lying around in my kitchen, and it’s so much easier not to have all that junk food when you plan your meals.
    I got my copy of BeyondBody 3 months ago, and it fixed one of my biggest causes of anxiety – I don’t get overwhelmed anymore when I go to the grocery store, because I always come with a shopping list for the recipes I pick out.
